Simple to make, a little messy (read fun), guaranteed to be loved by others and plenty of variations on the theme. This is one activity where fingerprints all over are desired!
This year we just did simple fingerprint Valentines for the grandparents and a few others using washable stamp ink pads, fingers and paper. We made it a family affair one evening after dinner. Dad really wowed the crowd with his finger print bear/mouse/monkey (its all relative and based on what toddler deems). After covering paper with prints, cut it into shapes, like hearts, or fold into cards. We used some 65# cardstock but any paper would work.
This activity was a fun way to wrap up the day and also practice learning our colors (truly hands on).
